Absolutely not. Nope. Nope. Nope. A therapist who won't respect your boundaries? Especially on topics you don't want to discuss in front of your husband? I can't say nope enough. You may have been lucky to have found only good therapists in the past. I've had a few, but more than a few really bad ones.

No offense to the LCSW designation, but I will only see someone with a PhD or PsyD now after the nightmares I've experienced with LCSWs. I'm not sure what your current counselor's educational background is, so take that for what it's worth.

GOOD counselors LEAD you to the answer. They don't tell you the answer. They help you discover it on your own and/or together. You will never feel safe with this woman again and, therefore, never be honest, which literally defeats the whole purpose.

Please find someone else.
