Apparently you aren't paying attention. Why do you think Bumble put ads up saying, "a vow of celibacy isn't the answer"? Have you not heard of the 4b movement?

Women are opting out of the dating pool because men are not evolving to meet the needs of the independent woman. Men still think they can simply throw money into the equation and women will swoon and be their free domestic labor, yet women are, for the most part, financially independent and men need to become equal partners if they intend to find relationships.

As far as being raised to be narcissistic, the world does in fact revolve around the straight white man. They need to be aware of it so they can help to dismantle it. We've been "playing nice" with the systems in place for thousands of years, but nothing has changed. It's time to call out bad behavior.

I gave a shout out to those who are taking a step off that pedestal because there are men who do see it and they're working to change, but to simply pretend the pedestal doesn't exist is misguided and gets us nowhere.
