Beautifully said.

I was religious for a time, which was a terrible thing to be, but one piece of advice that I took from that time is this: I was once told that if I ever found extra children in my home I should feed them.

That was the best advice I've ever been given and has continued to serve me well as my children have grown and brought others into our home. Many have been children who weren't treated very well at their own homes, and have found respite in my care - always with some food in their stomachs.

I hope others follow this advice as well, for it is indeed every single human's job to welcome - especially youth - into their mothering care whenever possible.
