Beautifully stated and I think you're right - men haven't been given steps to take in support of women. Using your voice is helpful, as you have here.
But aside from that, I'm not even sure, as a woman, I'd know what to tell a man who wanted to get involved. As you've eluded to - it's such a widespread problem with most men either involved in it as perpetrators, or not wanting to get involved in speaking out, unless it affects their wives and daughters.
I think the first step is simply bringing awareness. And I am personally grateful to every man willing to use his voice to express outrage over what is happening. The fact that so many women have confided in you about their assault story (as you've said we all have at least one), and that you're willing to speak out, makes me believe you are one of the genuinely good men. Thank you for that!
