But another thing to consider is this: If you die, they cannot harvest your organs without your consent (or that of of your family's post mortem), even if it could save the life of the person you just killed. That's how important bodily autonomy is in our culture.

In addition, if you could save someone's life simply by being attached to them for 9 months, exchanging blood and fluids so they could be saved, again even if it was to save the life of a person you just tried to kill, it still isn't and can't be mandated.

So while I agree with many of your points, you haven't made any regarding bodily autonomy and how sacred we hold that right in our society.

Whether we like to think of it in this way or not, a child growing in our womb is a parasite. It will take what it needs from the host (mama) up to the point of depleting and killing her. So if we take sentimentality out of it, we can see that it's not so cut and dry as a conversation about two living, breathing people.
