Cassie and I were from very different worlds, and not just due to our decade+ age difference. I was a young mom of four. She was an older mom of one. I got a few hundred in child support, she got almost 2k/mo. Her parents gave her 50k as a down payment on a house, I worked for everything I had. We were friends while we worked together, but it didn't take long to fall apart when she took a new job.

That said, I really wasn't looking for male attention, especially at a bar, it was just something I noticed when we'd go out together, but didn't understand. I love to write about things I observe, especially if I gain new understanding and can share it.
