She responded with a vehement no, warning him to never propose anything of the sort ever again. She thought about pressing charges, but people she knew talked her out of it, arguing that she was making a big deal out of a “normal behavior.” Somebody said: “What do you expect? He’s a professor, and you’re an attractive young woman.” Did I mention that she was only eighteen when this happened?
