I always ask that question over text or by phone. No need to waste either of our time going on a date if we don't align. And the only reason I even have to ask it in the first place is because men tend to leave the politics question blank or answer that they are "not political" or "impossible to label" or whatever.
In effect they don't want to be limited by their politics in their choice of partner, but they don't understand that for women it's not simply a matter of preference, it is indicative of much more deeply held beliefs - especially about women themselves. So we can't brush it aside as a reason not to make the match.
I'm in agreement with you about the dating apps - there should never be matches made between someone who did or would support Trump and everyone else, even if they don't make it a whole separate version. Though they did try to make a Republican dating app that was supposed to sort of solve that problem - but surprisingly they couldn't get any women to sign up.
Crazy right?
