I am happily single, so maybe there would be cons if I were in a relationship (or wanted to be), but at this point, I love everything about our arrangement and have no cons. Each of my kids pays $500/mo. towards household expenses, but for that, I provide for most of their needs - insurance, food, phone, etc. They are responsible to pay for any eating out or extras like that that they want, but we love it.
