I can say this for myself and most of the highly educated single women I know. There's no chance we'd go to an event like this. There is a specific kind of person who attends singles events, and a specific kind of person who goes to bars. And this event required a woman who would do both.

I'd recommend getting involved in an activity or volunteer work you enjoy and start building friendships and work from there.
