I definitely excel in conditions where the focus is conversation. At a bar or club the music is too loud to talk easily and naturally. There was one man I met in that type of atmosphere and we quickly moved somewhere more quiet. But, like you, he approached me because I looked so out of place in a hookup scene.

I haven't been to a bar like that in probably 2 decades at this point, and don't date at all anymore. I grew old and enjoy my solitude far too much. I think some of us just aren't cut out for relationships! Lol.
