I didn't say, close your eyes and hope for attraction. What I said was stop bringing it up. It's not flattering. It's lazy.
I am not an idiot. I understand that any man who approaches me or swipes right is attracted to me (or at least my pictures). It's completely unnecessary to bring it up and it gives the ick.
It feels about that same as a man approaching me and saying, "I want to f*ck you." I know, Chad, I'm aware of this without it having to be stated.
A man who approaches and actually tries to make a connection based on something deeper? He has a chance.
A man who simply tells me I'm attractive? Hard pass.
Inside of a relationship my partners have all given me compliments on my looks generously. But at that point I know that we have a connection based on something deeper than my pretty eyes, so it comes across much differently.
