I disagree that a bank loan or employment contract is the same, since they are generally for a relatively short term - and not until death do you part.

A pre-nup is an option, but simply not getting married seems like an easier solution.

To each his own, though. I simply write about my opinions to help others think about customs and traditions that - to me - have lost their usefulness and value. If you still find value in it, then by all means, get/stay married, but for those of us who have realized it's not for us, it's helpful knowing others feel the same.
