I don't blame parents for being exhausted after raising their own kids, I certainly am! But that's why we've been very meticulous about setting boundaries. My daughter absolutely loves being a mother, and she's a much better mother than I ever was, so I never feel the need to step in - which is better for both of us. It allows her to do her role and me to do mine.

I'm sure not every family could make it work. Many mothers might grow too dependent on grandma, which puts grandma in a tough position, but I am glad we've been able to make it work!
