I don't disagree. And I'm not even necessarily saying you have to be great with every language - I'm just saying that I know too many women who have had to handhold their partner, telling them how to make them feel loved.

But in the end, I think it's often the case that a man settles in with a woman for the things she provides - regular sex, domestic labor, etc., and he can't show her he loves her through any of the love languages, because in fact he does not. He loves what she provides to him, sure, but he does not love HER.

It's partly why I wrote an article about men acting like women are interchangeable. I believe there is a subset of men who just want a woman, ANY woman, for the things she provides and not because he's looking for a connection or love.
