I found someone when I wasn't looking the last time I was in a relationship (after my divorce from my kids' dad). I truly thought he was "the one". However, I've discovered that I'm far too independent to be coupled up. I think women, especially of the middle aged variety are happier alone, but men don't ever seem to get to that point. There's definitely something to see in that - read: men get more from relationships than women do.

I've found the peace I was seeking in relationships, through being alone.
