I had a similar experience. I was involved with the LDS church for a time when I was married to my childrens' father. We got "sealed" in the temple and special undergarments are supposed to be worn once you go through the temple ceremony.

But they are ugly and a complete turn off. I remember telling him that if he ever wanted to have sex again he'd have to wear something else to bed lol.

But yes, being turned off by one specific style is different than forcing a specific style.

And if I'm honest, if you are actually in love, your underwear probably shouldn't matter that much. I was not in love with my childrens' father which was a much bigger problem than his ugly underwear.
