I have thought about future kids-in-law and basically arrived at - if they all want to live here, we'll try to figure it out. But I'm assuming they'll want to branch out on their own. If not, my daughter was only able to have 2 babies of her own, but she wanted more, so I know she'd be a big help to any potential future babies that come to our family.

At this point, my other 3 kids don't date much and all say they do not want children. So I guess we'll see.

Yes the financial markets and banks are a hot mess. And, as you've said, there's no real incentive not to be, so I don't know what will happen.

To be honest I think we're simply on the downhill side of being a "great empire". We've followed the pattern right to the fall.
