I love this. It reminds me of when my kids were small and they'd come home from school and have nothing positive to say. I started telling them that I'd listen to the bad parts but that I wanted to hear 2 good things for every bad thing.
Sometimes they were sarcastic like, "I managed to not punch my teacher today" or whatever (I made them give me a real one when they tried to pull this! Lol), but it helped all of us reframe our thoughts.
My youngest son threw this in my face the other day! It was so funny! I said something negative about his dad and he said, "Now you have to say 2 nice things about him!" So I did. What's good for the goose is good for the gander!
But yes, absolutely reframing our experience is always a helpful exercise!
