I tried to get him to say more about what love was to him, but the most I could get was that he cared for her - and I believe he did. I believe he wanted her to be happy, but he, himself, was unwilling to do the things she needed in the relationship to be happy.

I explained to him what it felt like to me when I was in love. And in turn how men that were in love with me acted. I told him that the fact that they ran out of things to talk about was not a good sign - as the men I've been in love with and I have all been able to talk for hours about nothing and everything into perpetuity. And we didn't get annoyed when the other wanted to spend time together - especially early on! It was crazy to me that a month in, he was already like, "She wants to come over, AGAIN."

I was like, this ain't it bro. Break it off with her and let her find someone who WANTS to be with her.

I hope he learned something. He's now decided he's not ready for a relationship, so that's promising.
