I use language such as "why does it seem like" and "in my experience" to set apart ideas I've actually researched from simple observations. I do enjoy research, and often do it just for fun, but I also write just for fun and don't always research an observation I've made. I feel like I can start the conversation and if someone wants to know more or whether I'm full of shit, they can look into it. I'm simply getting an idea out of my brain and into the world where it can be discussed and debated.
