I'd like to offer a counter suggestion - what if someone is SO secure in themselves that they don't feel the need to put on a show? For example, I'm in my 40s and just don't have 2 f***s to give anymore. So you'll see me run to the store in sweat pants and a t-shirt.

Does this reflect who I am on the inside? Am I actually a homeless person as I reflect? Or do I really just not care what other people think anymore? I have no one to impress, so I don't try.

Not to say I never get dressed up and look presentable, but if you saw me on one of my excursions you might think I was a much different person than I am. Especially during the work day! I work from home, so I usually roll straight out of bed and into my desk chair. If I have to run an errand at lunch, I very likely look homeless... or at the very least unemployed lol.
