I'm an introvert as well. And I've been accused of not showing enough emotion - because I, too, live mainly inside my mind. Even if I'm excited or upset or curious about something, it doesn't necessarily show through.

(Fortunately?) I became a mother very early (pregnant at 16, mom at 17), and being completely isolated is simply not an option when you must care for others, so I have adapted to the world that I live in, but I imagine if I had not become a mother, it would have been easy for me to remain in my isolation.
