I'm only 44. It's not lost on me that I still have my best years in front of me - if best is defined as the ability to be selfish. But at this point, I'm just really enjoying not having to coordinate with or consider anyone else's feelings in my decisions. Maybe my views will change one day, but most of the women I know 40+ who are single feel the same - no real desire to have a partner (at least not one they share living quarters with), so I just assume I'll be the same. Guess you never know, though!
