I'm sure it sounds like I've never had this, but I actually found connection with a man that was world changing for me. You'll see me mention him in some of my articles. If I have anything positive to say about a partner, it's him lol. We were together for 6 years, married 3, but could not get on the same page with, especially, my kids. Since my kids are my whole world, it's just not something I can compromise on. I can even admit that my expectations may have been unrealistic, but in the end, after the relationships I've experienced, my kids are more important to have in my life than a man.

He and I do not date other people and we still speak regularly. I do hope one day we'll be able to resolve the issues that caused our demise. I feel like it was a once in a lifetime love and I have no interest in trying to find it again. If I can't make it work with him, I don't want to try with anyone else.

So yes, I fully understand your comment and why you'd be sad for me if I'd never experienced it. I appreciate your concern from the bottom of my heart :)
