Is there any way to try to match babies with their parents now? I think my dad was part of this, but was adopted through the LDS Church and has not been able to get any information. He was born in 1954 and has basically been searching since he turned 18.

As a teen mom who was able to keep my baby, I have a very negative view of adoption in general. I just wrote an article about the problem with taking babies from mothers who want them.

If we really wanted what was best for the babies, we'd support the mother financially. Many times that's all she needs. If you're willing to pay for medical and legal fees through adoption, why not sponsor a mama instead. Oh, because it's never been about what's best for the baby.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I honestly cannot imagine.
