It seems like there are a ton of therapists, but only a handful of good ones. I've seen probably a dozen LCSWs, but I have BPD and really need a PhD or a PsyD.

But none of that matters anyway because I cannot afford treatment right now, so I'm left with online research, a DBT book a therapist from my past recommended, and avoiding romantic relationships to maintain some semblance of stability.

That's the state of mental healthcare in the US. And I think whoever gave us a D was being generous.

Great article. Wish it would help, but American healthcare executives and politicians don't seem to think it's the epidemic that it is.
