It's unfortunate that most women don't fully grasp this until they're in their 40s. I know I didn't. But I'm so much happier living single. You're 100% spot on with all the ways we change to accommodate a partner, and in my experience the changes weren't good.

My parents terrible relationships set me up with no real roadmap for what a "good" relationship looks like, so I chose ill-suited partners until I simply swore off dating altogether.

This needs to be taught in schools, or at least women need to pass the wisdom to each other, like we do here.
