I've heard this argument a lot, but not having a house payment is priceless. Plus you can invest all that money when you're not making a house payment every month. In addition, not everyone is paying 2.8%.

Heading into retirement with no house payment is proven to reduce retirees stress levels.

You do you, but for me, I want my expenses to be as low as possible. I don't need millions in investments if I simply have low expenses.
