Let’s Be Honest About What Complimenting a Woman Means

The other day, my grandson proudly proclaimed that he and his brother did not get into the candy while Mom was upstairs getting laundry put away.

Mom wasn’t worried about them getting into the candy. In fact it wasn’t on her mind at all — until that exact moment when my grandson told on himself.

I say this because I think it’s an easy illustration to follow. We’ve probably all had a similar experience — even if only when we were children ourselves.

I was just reading the following article by one of my favorite Medium writers,

and it brought this idea to mind.

The truth is, if you approach a woman to give her a compliment, we already know you’re trying to get a date. I can confirm that 10 out of 10 times I’ve received a compliment from a man around my age…
