Memory and cognitive function can be big problems, but what about the fact that these men were born in the WWII era? The world they grew up in, became adults in, got married in, bought their first house in... That was a much different time. How can we expect them, and the rest of government to write and help pass meaningful legislation for TODAY'S issues, especially the lifetime politicians who are so far removed from the average American's day to day life?

The fact that they don't WANT to retire, to me, is the most problematic issue of all. What incentives are they receiving? Money? Power?

They need to go home and live out their retirement years with their families and leave leading the country to the next generation.
