My ex got up multiple times every night to pee. Same result. And he felt slighted when I even asked if we could get a split king so at least the movement of the bed wouldn't wake me. Going without a proper night's sleep for the years I did it was absolutely miserable. I even broke down in marriage counseling about it.

Now I sleep with my Shih Tzu who is an amazing bed mate - I don't even notice he's there :)
