My Favorite Way to Get Hit On (If You Must)
Here it is friends, the playbook that gets my attention
I was reading this article from one of my Medium friends
and I was getting more and more anxious listening to him describe the cold approach of women in public.
I am an introvert. And not just sort of an introvert, like on the Meyers-Briggs test I was 94% introverted. Interactions (especially of this kind) cause me a real sense of dread and panic. Maybe if I am somewhere that I understand the expectation is that we’ll be socializing it’s not as bad, but if I’m engaged in a task like grocery shopping or working out, it truly throws me for a loop.
Even when I was on the dating apps, those first dates were always a killer. I understand that this is probably not great and it’s been suggested that maybe I even have some level of autism since social interactions like this cause me so much distress, but regardless of the why, or whether I should be seen by a medical professional, I truly do not enjoy being approached by an unknown.
