Nobody is "good" at housework. Well, that's probably not true. Some people likely enjoy it. I personally hate it. And it was a total nightmare when I was a mom to 4 small (messy) people. I'm not the type to be washing floorboards or dusting ceiling fans every week, but there are some tasks that really need to be done regularly.

But I've also learned that the easiest way to keep the house clean - is to get rid of most of your stuff. When my kids were small, trying to keep toys picked up was a nightmare, I mostly just let it be messy, especially knowing they were just going to come make it messy again the next day.

Living with my daughter and watching her limit the number of toys her kids have access to has made a HUGE difference. Kids don't play well in messy areas anyway, so limiting the number of toys available is beneficial for a multitude of reasons. In addition, she'll box up the toys they aren't playing with and rotate them as they get bored.

I've tried to implement this with my own things as well. I don't need 800 outfits, especially now that I work from home - which makes my laundry more manageable. I try to throw things away as they are no longer needed or usable.

Anyway! I am just saying that housework is no fun (at least to me) so I try to make things as easy as possible on myself.
