Some people don't seem to understand that we've been taught that living alone is the dream, but it's so much more financially (and often emotionally!) worthwhile to share costs and resources. I think it'll be more common as it becomes too expensive to live alone. I'm sorry your sister wasn't willing. In fairness, I'm not sure I could live with any of my siblings. We had a rough childhood and we all internalized it differently making for some clashing mental health issues.
