Studies have shown that families with 2 children are the happiest overall. Why? For the simple reason you've stated here - time. I had 4 in 7 years. I was exhausted all the time. On top of having so many, I had one with Cystic Fibrosis who required extra care and another with asthma, who seemed to require extra care mainly in the middle of the winter nights lol.

My youngest is 19 now, so I made it through, spending as much time individually with them as I could and we are all very close still. We live as a multi-generational family - my four children, two grandchildren, and I - and it is the best kind of home I never knew I wanted.

I think there are many people who completely missed the point of parenting. Did it for selfish reasons. Used their kids as an accessory. Demanded their kids become something they did not want to be, etc. I wrote about it here https://medium.com/wake-write-win/some-of-yall-missed-the-point-of-parenting-f884d37a39d8

For those parents, I say, please do not have even one.
