Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm always happy to take a look at my assumptions. Personally I have opted to remain single forever, so monogamy and possession hold no interest for me at this point in my life regardless.

But from my experience the deep connection I seek in relationships can only happen between two people, if for no other reason than there isn't enough time in the day. I do believe I have had connections unlike many people are ever able to experience, so I'm going to guess that it plays a big role in our individual beliefs about relationships.
