Thank you for your vulnerability and sharing your experiences. I am probably too trusting as well, but luckily haven't fallen into this particular trap. But I will say that the older I get, the smaller my circle. At this point it's basically coworkers and family. It seems like everyone else is just out to get whatever they can from you, before you get tired of it and they move on to someone else.
