That's a great way to describe the "old school" men I speak of - liberal misogynists. That's what I encountered a lot. Like almost ready to evolve but still looking for the old school misogynist marriage that the domestic labor, and household mental load still fall on the woman. Hard pass for me.

My kids are grown. I don't take care of anyone except myself and my two pups anymore. I won't be in a relationship with someone who doesn't lighten my load. There's no reason to partner with someone who makes my life harder.

And if you're thinking sex is the reason, it's not. Most older men can't even perform well anymore, if they ever could. And then have major trauma about that that they dump on me on top of everything else. Most men simply feel entitled to a woman being their everything. Kind of like this song suggests:
