I feel like, especially in previous times, we were encouraged to hurry and find a "good enough" partner and start pumping out babies (likely a religious thing since more members equals more donations). But you're absolutely right. There are very few people who would be an acceptable life partner for each of us. It takes patience and discernment to find them.
