The reason it was overwhelming is because men would match with basically every profile they were presented with, leaving women hundreds of men to sort through, even if the men weren't necessarily a good match. A lot of men did zero due diligence and simply relied on women to determine if there were any similarities.

I had so many "matches" that had simple, easy to rule out differences (I don't want more kids, he does, etc.) but they didn't even take the time to filter me out.

Again, men pushing the mental labor onto women. And at this point men seem to want relationships more than their female counterparts, so I'm sure many, like me, simply opted out.
