There is literally no more exhausting job on the planet than being on call to a little (or two or three) 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Even if they're with the sitter, you're still the default if anything goes wrong. Someone who's never been in this position (including most fathers) truly will just never understand the exhaustion it causes. I'm grateful my kids are adults now. I'm so tired lol.

And no, sex is not happening when you leave me to do it all. Thanks, but no thanks.
