This comment actually makes me sad. I think more men than we even realize are so cut off from their emotions that, like you, aren't even able to access them in an intimate moment.

And unlike men, I'm perfectly happy to hug my girlfriends when we're connecting. Or hold hands. Or provide support to them or get it from them in a myriad number of physical ways.

Imagine if you could simply get a hug from your guy friends as a show of emotional support, without having to feel embarrassed or like it's a sign that you are gay. Hugs feel nice. We should all get more hugs.
