This question was only asked of men who wanted to "meet for a quick coffee date" thereby shortcutting the process of getting to know each other. I have a busy life and am not interested in wasting my time with men who I'm ultimately not compatible with.

Without fail, they all said something like "Abortion bad. Woman who have abortion bad." So it was very obvious that they knew nothing about the topic other than what Fox News had told them. I promise you, I did not weed out any "excellent potential partners". I obviously already had a sense for how they felt before I even asked the question.

I would have given nuance to the question if anyone had asked. They didn't. Nor did they want to have a discussion about the answer. They were simply Trump supporters who didn't want to be limited by the number of partners available to them if they owned up to it, so they said they were "apolitical" or "moderate" when in fact they were not.

It was a very effective screening question.
