To back up your assertion that maybe her love language was physical touch simply because she was starved of it - my daughter wonders if we do generally show our love with all five languages, but maybe the one our partner is the least likely to show is the one we feel must be our own love language.

For example, maybe your ex's ex showed her love through the other 4, but neglected physical touch. She therefore feels like physical touch must be her love language because it is the one she's lacking from her partner.
