Yes exactly. And that's why it's important to ask about. There's always something to see and to learn. I'm not saying you or I should take responsibility for the abuse we've suffered. Even marrying for the wrong reasons doesn't entitle someone to abuse us. But if we can at least acknowledge that we weren't completely blameless we can begin to understand how we got into such a bad relationship in the first place.
