Yes, exactly, and I've heard other similar comparisons - all eluding to the same idea - bodily autonomy. Which of course we afford to most as a simple human right.

In fact, did you realize we give dead people more rights than women? It's true. You are required to opt-in for organ donation. Meaning you could be dead at the scene of a car accident, another person able to use your organs to survive, and if you haven't given permission as a living person - or your family post mortem - they cannot and will not take your organs. Not even if you're dead and they could save someone else's life.

So yes, bodily autonomy is taken seriously in every case, except one.

In fairness, though, my question is more getting to the heart of the matter, which to me is Do you trust women? It's far beyond the limited scope of abortion and more to your underlying beliefs about women in general. Because if you truly believe there would be a line of women looking to abort a viable, and otherwise healthy, fetus in the third trimester then you didn't think very much of us at all.

Thank you for sharing your example! If I ever write something directly about abortion, I'll have to include it. Though the one problem with the argument is that in the third trimester almost every baby can survive without their mother's womb. Obviously it's better for them to be fully gestated before being born, but they can live on their own at that point.
