You're absolutely right! I think the only difference is that the men will not suffer irreparable harm from this stunt. Maybe I'm making an assumption in saying that (maybe the men will ultimately experience some emotional harm, I don't know), but Lily will most definitely suffer. My opinion is that this is self harm, no different than cutting. It just comes in a prettier package.
