You've completely missed the point of the article.

The fact is you can't force another whole ass human to do something they refuse to do. You have the three options as I outlined in the article, nothing more. When you try to control someone else's behavior, it's only going to end in stress and resentment.

The only thing you have control over is your reaction. If you have a partner that refuses to do even the basics to care for himself, you have no right to expect him to be other than what he is. So if you stay with him, you are agreeing to let him.

I, personally, would not stay in that type of relationship. But so many choose to because of other benefits they're receiving. It's not for me to judge.

But if your partner has shown you who they are time and time again - with whatever behavior - cheating, acting like a child, etc - and you choose to stay? That's on you.
